Terms of Service

Before downloading, installing, activating, or using Zian ("Software"), carefully read these terms. Use of the software implies acceptance of these terms.

1. License and Scope

  1. Lifetime License: One-time purchase for permanent use of the purchased version. You get free updates and fixes within the same major version (e.g., 1.x). Upgrading to a new major version (e.g., 2.x) may require an additional fee.
  2. Device Limit: Each serial number can be activated on up to 3 devices you personally own. Binding is based on hardware machine code.
  3. Fully Offline Activation: Authorization is completed entirely locally. No internet check is performed. You are responsible for safeguarding your serial number; if leaked, it cannot be remotely revoked.

2. User Conduct

  1. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code.
  2. Do not rent, resell, distribute, or use for commercial outsourcing without written authorization.
  3. Do not use the software for any illegal activities or infringing on third-party rights.

3. Updates and Maintenance

Since Zian is fully offline and does not have auto-update capabilities:

  • You must manually check the official website for new versions to get fixes or security updates.
  • We do not guarantee indefinite compatibility with future OS upgrades if the software is not updated.

4. Disclaimer

The software is provided "AS IS".

  • Data Security Responsibility: Since data is stored locally, you are responsible for backups. We are not liable for data loss due to device failure or misuse.
  • Third-Party Services: If you use third-party APIs (e.g., OpenAI), you assume all risks related to fees, privacy, or service interruptions.
  • No Warranty: We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation in all environments.

Privacy Policy

Zian follows a "Privacy First" principle. Our architecture ensures absolute data sovereignty: Your data belongs to you, physically and legally.

1. Absolute Offline Promise

We promise: Zian has no internet modules and no background telemetry processes.

  • Offline Activation: Matches machine code locally; no network request sent.
  • Offline Operation: Speech recognition runs on local CPU/GPU; no audio uploads.
  • No Telemetry: We do not collect device IDs, IP addresses, usage time, or crash logs.

2. Zian Link Security

Zian Link transmits data between phone and PC using Local Area Network (LAN) only.

  • Data transmits directly peer-to-peer; no relay servers. Works even without internet access.
  • All transmission is encrypted with AES-256 to prevent LAN eavesdropping.

3. Third-Party Services

The software itself cannot connect to the internet, but offers an interface for third-party LLMs (e.g., OpenAI).

  • User Controlled: Connects only if you explicitly provide an API Key and enable it.
  • Pass-through Mode: Requests go directly to your provider. Zian acts as a client and does not intercept or store this data.
  • Please refer to your service provider's privacy policy.

4. Payment Privacy

Payments are handled by third-party platforms (Paddle, etc.). As developers:

  • We see: Order ID, email for delivery.
  • We do NOT see: Credit card numbers or financial info.
  • No Linkage: We cannot link your purchase identity to your offline usage data.

Refund Policy

1. Try Before You Buy

We believe the product speaks for itself. Zian offers a fully functional trial.

Please download and test compatibility on your device before purchasing.

2. Refund Eligibility (7 Days)

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee if:

  1. Duplicate Purchase: Accidental double payment.
  2. Fatal Technical Failure: Software fails to run on supported hardware, and support cannot resolve it via email.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Since license keys are offline and cannot be revoked remotely, refunds are generally not granted for:

  • Change of Mind: "Don't need it anymore" or "Bought by mistake but activated".
  • Untested Compatibility: Buying without trying on incompatible hardware.
  • Third-Party Issues: API bans or network issues with OpenAI/other providers.

4. How to Request

Include: Order ID, platform, reason (with screenshots for technical issues).
